Chad T. Lefteris is the President & Chief Executive Officer of UCI Health, Orange County’s only academic health system. Lefteris oversees all clinical and patient-serving operations, including the UCI Medical Center in Orange, consistently recognized among America’s Best Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report and the county’s only Level I Trauma Center, and the UCI Health Innovation fund, a venture fund aimed at revolutionizing patient care by investing in healthcare innovation and digital health. With over 8,500 caregivers providing more than 1.2 million patient encounters at 26 locations distributed throughout the County, UCI Health is the primary teaching location for the UCI School of Medicine.
Lefteris joined UCI Health in 2018 as the Chief Operating Officer. In that role, Lefteris oversaw the daily business operations of the UCI Medical Center, which includes the hospital and several specialty units, along with other UCI-operated health care centers throughout Orange County. He was also responsible for administrative functions, including general and ancillary support services, facilities management, design and construction, information technology, and special projects.
Prior to joining UCI Health, Lefteris served as the vice president of operations of UNC REX Healthcare, a private, not-for-profit health care system, and a member of UNC Health. He was responsible for the oncology service line and multiple operations and support services departments. Prior positions within UNC Health included vice president, support services for UNC REX Healthcare and administrative director of operations for UNC Medical Center, a 900+ bed academic medical center and the health system’s flagship hospital.
Lefteris currently serves on the Appalachian State University College of Health Sciences Advisory Board, Hospital Association of Southern California Board, Beall Applied Innovations Board, Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute Advisory Board, and the Orange County United Way United to End Homelessness Leadership Council.
Lefteris received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Healthcare Management from Appalachian State University and his Master’s of Health Administration from Medical University of South Carolina.
Tom Donnelly is President and CEO of Mazda North American Operations (MNAO), appointed April 1, 2023. Previously, Donnelly served as senior vice president, between 2019 and 2023, and vice president, between 2017 and 2019, of U.S. sales and retail operations. In these roles, he was responsible for overseeing U.S. vehicle sales, aftersales, and U.S. regional office operations. During this tenure, Donnelly greatly progressed Mazda’s Brand Value Management in retail operations, while also improving the overall business operations and relations with Mazda dealers.
Donnelly joined Mazda in February 2008 as the regional general manager for Mazda’s Gulf Region before moving to oversee the Western Region.
Prior to joining Mazda, Donnelly spent six years at J.D. Power and Associates, first as a senior account director and later as vice president of automotive client services. He also served as director of field operations and vice president of dealer operations for Autobytel.com. Donnelly began his career with Subaru of America, where he spent 10 years serving in various district and regional management positions.
Donnelly received a Bachelor of Science in management from Rutgers University. He currently resides in Southern California.
